Riverside Jury returned a recommendation that the defendants in a Riverside murder case with special enhancements get life in prison after the prosecutor sought the death penalty.
Attorney Joe Galasso Represented one of the defendants in the 10-year-old case saying:
“Basically (a gang) raised these guys, and they never really had a chance in life. When you get the death penalty, it’s like (you’re in) the California Criminal Hall of Fame. And these guys didn’t deserve to be in the California Criminal Hall of Fame. They weren’t the worst of the worst. It was an opportunistic crime, and they took it. And it’s sad it had to be Lareanz,”
